Spring 2024
BUTV News is a weekly production created by students involved in several classes and an army of volunteers, without whom we couldn’t put it on the air. Below are the key students this semester who are largely responsible for the show.
Show Runner // Executive Producer
Dave Lennie is a communication professor at Bradley University who started BUTV News in 2015. Dave’s broadcast roots extend back into the 1990’s where he worked at local NBC affiliate WEEK-25. He continues to be heavily involved in sports broadcast production and corporate video work throughout the midwest. Among his favorite productions is the St. Jude Telethon, which he produces each summer.

Madalyn Mirallegro is a junior Television Arts major. In addition to her work with BUTV, she is the editor-in-chief for the Bradley Scout, the publicist for BBQ Kitten, and the PR Manager of her sorority, Epsilon Sigma Alpha. In addition to producer, Mirallegro has been an anchor for the show.
Director // Associate Producer
Cole St. Yves is a junior Television Arts major with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. In addition to BUTV, St. Yves works at Bradley’s Production Office and is a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. When he’s not at the GCC, St. Yves is likely training for his upcoming cross-country charity cycling event happening this summer (2024).

In addition to BUTV, Silva works at Bradley’s Production Office and at the local Peoria television station WTVP. She was previously the President of Hilltop Films.
