Spring 2024

BUTV News is a weekly production created by students involved in several classes and an army of volunteers, without whom we couldn’t put it on the air.  Below are the key students this semester who are largely responsible for the show.

Show Runner // Executive Producer

Dave Lennie is a communication professor at Bradley University who started BUTV News in 2015.  Dave’s broadcast roots extend back into the 1990’s where he worked at local NBC affiliate WEEK-25.  He continues to be heavily involved in sports broadcast production and corporate video work throughout the midwest.  Among his favorite productions is the St. Jude Telethon, which he produces each summer.

Producer // Technical Director

Jackson Shaltiel is a junior Television Arts major with a minor in Journalism. In addition to his work with BUTV, Shaltiel is the Vice President for ACBU, the Recruitment Chairman for Pi Kappa Alpha, and a Resident Advisor in University Hall.

 

Director // Associate Producer

Ty Gray is a junior Television Arts major.  In addition to BUTV, Gray is also President of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Graphics // Social Media Manager

Leah Reed is a junior Television Arts major with a minor in Social Media Marketing.  In addition to BUTV, Reed is the captain of the Bradley Bravettes Dance Team and works for the Peoria Ballet Company as their Arts Administrative Intern and Hip Hop dance instructor.
