The Bradley University Speech Team left on Wednesday morning for Ball State University to compete at the National Forensics Association National Tournament. The competition runs from April 14 through the 18th. Last week, the Bradley Speech Team competed at the American Forensics Association’s National Championship and took home 4th place out of nearly 70 universities and colleges from across the country. Their success is no coincidence. They have over 40 team national championships and over 150 individual national championships. Shout out to our very own Sports Anchor, Amanda Philio, for being one of the speech coaches. From everyone at BUTV News, we wish you all good luck!
Facebook just announced that Messenger chat will soon be offering the ability to send businesses direct text messages instead of traditional phone calls. Consumers will be able to order flowers and shop for clothes, for example. This is in a response to trying to keep people engaged on the site instead of using Twitter, Snapchat, or YouTube. Research has shown that many people spend a significant amount of time on Messenger, which made it a good target for Facebook to focus on. Be sure to watch for this update.
