Men’s Basketball Team Defeats Drake, Falls to Evansville

The Men’s Basketball game against Drake on Saturday, February 20 was quite the team effort and came down to free throws in the final seconds.

The Braves played their 1,000th conference game at Carver Arena on Saturday. Bradley trailed Drake early in the first half by 11 points. The Bulldogs had a couple 20-point contributors and stayed neck-and-neck with the Braves all night. Bradley would close the deficit to pull within 2 after a 7-0 run in a span of less than 2 minutes. Freshman Antoine Pittman contributed a season high of 20 points, scoring 18 of them in the second half.

Bradley rallied in the final seconds to round out their 1,000th game with a win, 73-70.


 

Ka’Darryl Bell was active last night for his final career home game against Evansville.

Despite having three contributors in the double digits, Bradley could not hold off the Purple Aces. The Braves only trailed by 4 going into the half, but the Purple Aces would force turnovers and go 3-for-3 at the start of the second half, extending their lead to 35-25. Bradley freshman Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye came close to a triple-double with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

The Braves would lose their senior game to Evansville, 67-55.
