Bradley University Unveils Life-Sized Statue Honoring Robert H. Lawrence!

On Friday, February 28, Bradley University held an unveiling ceremony for a life-sized statue of Robert H. Lawrence, the first African American astronaut. Lawrence, a 1952 Bradley graduate with a Bachelor of Science, was honored with the statue, which will be displayed in the Olin Quad. The project raised $175,000, surpassing its fundraising goal by $125,000. The extra funds will be allocated to the Major Lawrence Scholarship, which supports chemistry and biochemistry majors.
