The Bradley University Chorale performed backup for Barry Manilow on Thursday, March 24. The concert took place at the Peoria Civic Center.
The Bradley Chorale is well known in the Peoria area, having done tours around the local area in past years, including this past Spring Break. Manilow was aware of the reputation the chorale has throughout Peoria and approached Dr. John Jost to ask that the Chorale accompany him onstage at his Civic Center concert. The concert was a part of Barry Manilow’s farewell tour. The Chorale sang backup on songs such as “Miracle” and the famous “Copacabana”. Sophomore Zachary Olson said that the opportunity was great for the Chorale and furthering their reputation in the Bradley area. (See video.)
Each Chorale member was given two free tickets to the concert to give to friends or parents. What an incredible opportunity for the Chorale!
