March Madness: A phrase that brings a smile to the faces of college basketball fans everywhere. However, in Peoria, fans of high school basketball will have plenty of reason to smile, too.
The IHSA March Madness State Finals took place at the Peoria Civic Center for the 21st year in 2016. The tournament features the best from around the state in classes 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A. Not to mention the March Madness Experience, the signature event of the Boy’s State Finals, which has a number of basketball-related games, exhibits, and events for kids and adults alike. The experience has become a fan favorite throughout the years. Locally, the Peoria Manual Rams took home 3rd place in the 3A tournament.
