As part of Black History Month, the Speech Team hosted the Black History Showcase in Neumiller on Friday, February 19.
The team selected six members to perform pieces centered around black history, culture, and other topics. Each performer presented a speech reflecting the struggles and triumphs of African American culture in America through a variety of events and styles. Some used comedy; others covered the topics seriously. The events ranged from duo interpretation, impromptu, and after-dinner speaking, to name a few. The team plans to host more events such as the showcase in addition to a spring performance.
