The Women’s Basketball team began their season on the road with two games in three days.

The women opened up with Detroit on Friday the 13th, but there was no bad luck involved as Bradley took down the Lady Titans 75-67.

Whitney Tinjum would record a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Braves to a 1-0 start.

It was the first time since 2002 that the Lady Braves opened the season with a road victory.

They could not sweep the road trip, however, as they lost to Bowling Green 66-53.

Bowling Green would end the game on a 19-3 run to take down our Lady Braves.

BU freshman Gabby Green would score a game-high 17 points, as she made 4 of Bradley’s 10 three-pointers.

The Women’s team will host Oklahoma on Sunday in their home opener at the Renaissance Coliseum.

The Lady Sooners enter the game as the 17th-ranked team in the country.

Tipoff is at 2:00.
