Greek organizations haven’t wasted any time starting to raise money for their houses’ philanthropies.
Last Saturday, Lambda Chi Alpha hosted their annual event, the Watermelon Bash, as a fun way to raise money and awareness for their charity.
The day’s events ranged from watermelon eating contests to searching for coins in watermelon mush.
Organizer Brandon Johnson said this is just the beginning of a full week of fundraising activities.
Kappa Delta Sorority took first place for the Watermelon Bash and so far, nearly $1,000 has been raised.
