The Peoria Park District states it is important to avoid crowds and prepare for a lack of public restrooms and water fountains. Playgrounds are closed but trails remain open, despite hundreds of part-time Peoria Park District workers being laid off due to revenue loss from the pandemic.
Even under the stay-at-home order, it is okay to go for a walk, as long as social distancing and good hygiene is being practiced.
