Singer John Prine Dead at 73

On Tuesday night, singer and songwriter John Prine died at the age of 73.

Born in Maywood, Illinois, Prine rose to fame as a legendary country-folk singer with such classics like “Hello in There,” “Paradise,” and “Angel from Montgomery.”

Known for his raspy-voice, Prine eventually won four Grammy awards in his lifetime.

He had been hospitalized since late March, and in a statement on Tuesday night, his family said he died due to complications of the novel coronavirus. John Prine is survived by his wife Fiona, as well as their three children, Jack, Tommy, and Jody.
