Chicago’s Navy Pier will open its new and improved Ferris wheel on May 27. This will kick off Navy Pier’s Centennial Celebration. The previous Ferris wheel opened in 1995 but was taken down. This Ferris wheel is 49 feet taller than the previous one and will hold 180 more passengers as well. The seats will be padded and have temperature controls as well as TV screens and speakers. This renovation is to help draw more tourists to the area.
