On Tuesday, February 16, a group of students traveled to Springfield to meet with other students across the state to rally and meet with state congressmen and women about the Monetary Award Program, commonly known as MAP grants. The program awards college funding for 125,000 Illinois students, about 1,000 of those being Bradley students. With the current budget impasse, lawmakers passed a bill to fund those grants. Bradley students witnessed Senate Bill 2043 being delivered to Governor Rauner’s office.
