What started out as an idea has now become a reality.
The PNC Winterfest is now in full swing in downtown Peoria.
After a few weather-related delays, the 60-by-80 foot ice rink on the corner of Fulton and Jefferson opened up to the public Monday evening and will continue until January 3.
Throughout the next month, there will be various special events including a visit from Santa Claus, Elsa from “Frozen”, and even a chance to skate with the Peoria Rivermen hockey team.
This is also a great place for students to take a break from the chaos of finals.
