12 years after our favorite clownfish, Nemo, swam across the ocean to find his father, his forgetful friend is finally getting her own show: “Finding Dory”.
In 2003, audiences were captivated by “Finding Nemo”, and rumors regarding a “Finding Dory” sequel have been present, but the trailer for the movie – in association with Disney and Pixar – surfaced this week.
Voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, Dory’s story takes place 6 months after the events occurred in “Nemo”.
After remembering something for the first time, Dory and her friends travel from the Great Barrier Reef to the California Coast in a quest to find information about her family.
The trailer was released online through Ellen DeGeneres’s daytime talk show, and “Finding Dory” is scheduled to appear in theaters June 17, 2016.
