We are now into October, and that means that basketball practice has officially begun for both the Men’s and Women’s teams.

The Women’s team has a nice mix of sophomores and juniors this year.

Junior Whitney Tinjum is the top returning scorer, as the Washington State transfer averaged 11.7 points per game last year.

As for the men, they are a team of new faces.

Nine new freshmen and a transfer join only three returning players.

Senior guard Ka’Darryl Bell is the top returnee, as he averaged six points per game last year, and started 23 games.

The Women’s home opener is on November 22 against Oklahoma, while the men open their season on November 13 against Ball State at Carver Arena.
