The organization To Write Love on Her Arms put on a bake sale last week in the atrium of the Student Center to raise awareness and funds to help suicide prevention.
They had many delicious treats, such as lemon squares, puppy chow, and chocolate chip cookies, each with their own supportive saying written on the bag.
The group is a non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness and money for people with mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety, and addiction.
Last Thursday was Suicide Prevention Day, which was when the bake sale took place. All of last week was Suicide Prevention Week.
If you or your friends and loved ones need help, there are several numbers you can call.
First is the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
Others include the Bradley Suicide Prevention Hotline at 309-673-7373 or 309-673-8336.
