The Bradley Volleyball team was in Toledo, Ohio over the weekend participating in the Rocket Invitational Tournament over the weekend. They opened the tournament by taking on the host, the Toledo Rockets. The Braves fell behind 2 sets to 1, but would rally to defeat Toledo in 5 sets.
In game 2, the Braves took on Youngstown State. The Braves would again need 5 sets, but were able to freeze the Penguins and improve to 2-0.
The volleyball team features seven freshmen, and they were now just one away from a 3-0 start.
In their final game, the team faced off with Green Bay. This time, there would not be as much drama as Bradley swept Green Bay in 3 sets. The 3-0 start is the program’s best since 2012.
The team will host the CEFCU Classic this weekend at the Renaissance Coliseum, with the home opener Friday at 7:00 against Weber State.
