The Peoria Salvation Army is asking for donations for their food pantries. With people without work because of COVID-19, the Peoria Salvation Army has seen a 62% increased need of assistance. A third of people in need of groceries are first-timers. The Peoria Salvation Army welcomes donations at both food pantries by drop off or by reaching Kathy Anderson at 309-339-3849. The Peoria Citadel Salvation Army is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 AM to 12 PM at 2903 West Nebraska Avenue. The Family Services Salvation Army is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 to 11:30 AM and 1 to 4 PM. Both food pantries are located in Peoria.
