On Tuesday, Governor J.B. Pritzker announced that he has given up on the Trump administration’s help for fighting COVID-19.
During an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett on her show Out Front, the Illinois Governor said, “We have gotten very little help from the federal government. It’s fine. I’ve given up on any promises that have been made.”
The statement comes as Trump and Pritzker continue their weeks long disagreements about the federal government’s handling of the pandemic. Governor Pritzker also told Burnett that Illinois will continue to “focus on the safety and health of the people of our states.”
