Tomorrow, October 13th, award winning journalist and former white house correspondent Jessica Yellin will speak in the Michel student center. Yellin is this year’s featured speaker for the department of communication’s Robison lecture. Yellin has interviewed a number of high-end politicians including the last three presidents and first ladies. She has also written for a variety of published papers and covered a number of major news stories in the past ten years. The event is free and open to the public. If you can’t make tomorrow’s lecture, there is another opportunity next week as well. A co-sponsored event, “election 2016: the evolution of American politics” will be held Monday next week. This event will be a moderated discussion of how politics have evolved in the past thirty years. Also in attendance will be two former members of congress sharing their first-hand experience. After discussion, the audience will be invited to ask questions of the former members.
