September is Hispanic Heritage Month

On Tuesday September 6, the opening ceremonies for Hispanic heritage month began in the Garrett cultural center. There were door prizes, free food and even a performance from Bradley’s own salsa club. Throughout the month of September there will be multiple events happening around campus in order to celebrate and acknowledge the Hispanic culture and Latino leaders.

On Olin quad this past Wednesday September 7,  the association of Latin American students celebrated Brazil’s independence day. There were games, music, and a performance by Brazilian dancers and even an opportunity to learn some new moves from the dancers. Students also had the opportunity to learn more about Brazil.

All the events throughout the month are free and everyone is welcome to attend and participate.

You can find the events listed on the univeristy calendar  or on the Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s Facebook Page
