Michael Ward is a real frontrunner for the Bradley University Men’s Track team. The sophomore has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week after setting some records on Friday, April 1 at the Stanford Invitational. Ward finished the 5000 meter event with a time of 13:54 and 49 milliseconds, breaking the MVC record set in 2014 as well as Bradley University’s record. Ward has a cumulative grade point average of 3.81, which far surpasses the minimum requirement to qualify as an MVC Scholar-Athlete.
