The Pottery Club hosted a fundraiser in the Heuser Art Gallery on Thursday and Friday, March 5 and 6. The club sold cups of lemonade, popcorn, and a variety of other ceramic pieces.
The ceramics provided at the sale were all made by students in ceramics class or members of the Pottery Club. Each piece is shaped in the studio, baked in an oven, and glazed to the artist’s preference. The club offered a variety of items ranging from tumblers and teapots, to candlestick holders, vases, and household décor. The Pottery Club holds two sales a semester and will have their second sale in April, which will feature ceramic bowls as well as a variety of other pieces. The public is invited to come buy a bowl and fill it with ice cream. Proceeds go back to the Pottery Club and the Midwest Food Bank.
We will follow up on the next sale as that April date approaches. Be sure to check it out.
