Musical Performance Major Performs in Senior Recital

Let’s keep the beat going with another musical performance from last Sunday. Student recitals have begun, and for one senior, this will be his last.

Seth Johnson is a senior Musical Performance major. His love for music got a major boost during his first audition in high school when an older student told him he had an amazing voice that almost made her cry. He took lessons from Dr. James Rimington, a Vocal Instructor from Bradley University, who later introduced him to Dr. Kerry Walters. Seth came to Bradley University once he graduated high school simply because these two teachers had such an influence in his life. On Sunday, he performed his senior recital, singing songs from Handel, Franz Schubert, and Alberto Ginastera’s “Five Popular Argentinian Songs”, which struck a chord with Seth. (See video for more.)

Seth plans to become a House Manager at the Ohio Light Opera after he graduates this semester, spend a few years doing independent studying, and then go to grad school. We wish him the best of luck!
