The Bradley University Speech Team presented its Black History Showcase on Friday, February 19 at 7:00 pm in Neumiller Lecture Hall. The performances featured poetry, interpretation, and comedy to celebrate Black History Month. The cost of admission was a $5 donation.


 

Two new restaurants have opened locally in the past couple of weeks. The first is called Seasons Gastropub, which opened in mid-January in Morton. It is open from 11 am to 11 pm Tuesday – Thursday and open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. The pub has a variety of sandwiches and burgers plus chicken, salmon, prime rib, and pasta. The second new restaurant is called Pizza Ranch, which opened February 1 on Brandywine Drive. It’s a buffet restaurant chain with a western theme. It’s open every day from 10 am to 9pm. Switching to some Hollywood news, another “The Bachelor” couple has officially tied the knot. Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert were married on Valentine’s Day, and the ceremony was aired on ABC. Their friends, family, and “The Bachelor” alums were all there to witness their special day. Jade and Tanner were both contestants on “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 2 and fell in love. They got engaged on the season finale of the show. Carly, a former “The Bachelor” contestant and friend of the couple, sang a beautiful song during the ceremony dedicated to them. The exchange of vows was touching and personal; they truly expressed their sincere love for one another. We wish all the best to the happy couple.
