Last Thursday, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion collaborated on a program called “Backpacks to Briefcases”. Students were encouraged to come out and get tips from Enterprise employers.
“Backpacks to Briefcases” was a presentation about the transition from being a college student to working in the real world. Students got tips on how to present themselves to employers when going to job fairs. Students worked on making 30-second elevator speeches and how to give a proper handshake when greeting employers. Alongside with getting prepared for the real world, some Bradley students got the opportunity to promote their self–owned businesses after the presentation. Drew Butts, who is the Group Talent Manager at Enterprise, was the presenter, and he speaks more about why this was an important topic to discuss among college students. (See video.)
