BBQ Kitten Show Raises Money for Charity

BBQ Kitten Improv Troupe hosted a show this past weekend benefiting a charity started by a Bradley alum. The Covering House is a foundation based in St. Louis that provides for people who have been victims of sex trafficking.

Deedee Lamin graduated from Bradley in 1985 and founded the charity in 2008. The Covering House helps teens and young adults, as well as their families, transition and cope after being involved in sex trafficking. BBQ Kitten’s stage manager, Becca Laird, is family friends with the founder of the charity and decided to reach out to help. All proceeds from the shows, in addition to proceeds made from selling merchandise, went directly to the foundation. Laird said the founders are grateful for the help.

Unfortunately, the alum was not able to attend the event but thanked the group for their support.
