It was a busy weekend in Bradley athletics, and we begin with a historic performance from the Cross Country teams.
Both the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams were crowned Missouri Valley Conference champions.
The Men’s team had 3 of the top 8 finishers, and Michael Ward picked a great time to break a school record in the 8K.
This was the first time in school history that the men won a conference title.
On the Women’s side, not only did they also win the conference, but Caitlin Busch was the individual champ for the second consecutive year.
According to bradleybraves.com, Caitlin’s time was the fastest individual time at the MVC Championships since 2005. She’s faster than Forrest Gump!
Her sister Kristin would place 3rd.
A big congrats to both teams, and they will now race in the NCAA Regionals on November 13.
