The Men’s Golf team participated in the Derek Dolenc Invitational this week and finished 7th out of 15 teams.

Senior Lyle Burns would lead the Braves, as he finished in the Top 20 by shooting a one under 70.

The team would also make a little history at the tournament.

In the three-day event, they shot 862 as a team, which is a school record for a 54-hole event.

Certainly a lot of positives from this week’s action, and they will look to build off that next week as they participate in the Zach Johnson Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.

As for the Women’s team, they would place in 15th in at the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Missouri.

Danielle Lemek would finish 15th individually.

She scored her lowest total of the year by shooting a two under 70 on Tuesday.

The Women’s team will enjoy a couple weeks off before going to Simpsonville, Kentucky on October 19.
