She owes a lot of her success, especially in her early college career, to her job.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She is a current student intern for the Bradley University admissions office. Before that, she worked as a student admissions representative (STAR).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In her job, Clark provides tours to prospective students and their families. She also schedules visit days and trains new STARs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cBeing from out of state and having a tough freshman year, this program and job has given me something to always look forward to and be excited about something bigger than myself,\u201d Clark said. \u201cI have made some great friends and acquaintances.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She also explained that she has obtained many valuable life skills that she will use in both her future career as well as her everyday life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Clark said, \u201cI have learned real life skills that will prepare me in future jobs.\u201d She continued, \u201cAll the skills I am learning now will help me so much as I try to enter my desired career.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Clark is not the only student whose Bradley experience has been enriched due to on-campus work. Many students are in agreement that working on campus has an abundance of benefits that aid them in both their college experience and likely their future as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Senior Kianna Goss is a current employee of the Bradley Fund, where she calls alumni and current parents to update their information as well as ask for contributions towards the university and student scholarships. She is also a team leader.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Goss explained that her job at the Bradley Fund has provided her with many advantages that have helped her as a student and in her future career.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She explained that while reaching out to a variety of alumni and parents, she has received information about job opportunities and career advice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis job has helped me as a student because I think my communication skills have improved. There have been times I could easily have a full in-depth conversation with a stranger,\u201d Goss said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Similarly, junior and Cullom-Davis Library employee Ashley Streitmatter said, \u201cMy on-campus job allows me to prioritize being a student first while still supporting myself financially.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Streitmatter explained that she often has downtime at her job in between helping library patrons locate resources and restocking shelves which she utilizes to work on homework assignments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In addition, both Goss and Streitmatter agree that their on campus jobs provide a positive and laid back atmosphere.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While Streitmatter uses her free time at the library to focus on her studies, Goss is able to play a game each time she gets a donation as a reward for her hard work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These three young women as well as many other student workers at Bradley will continue to have improved overall Bradley experiences due to their on-campus work and what it provides for them.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Junior Mallory Clark believes that working for Bradley admissions has positively impacted her overall experience at Bradley.
