Unfortunately for the home team, both games were close, but the Braves lost both games by a score of 3-2 on Friday and 2-1 on Saturday.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1703\" style=\"width: 193px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0713.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1703\" class=\" wp-image-1703\" src=\"http:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0713-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"183\" height=\"232\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1703\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Owens Center prior to the start of the game.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Cooper Kaplan, a Bradley junior who works for Bradley hockey\u2019s broadcasting team was disappointed in seeing two consecutive losses. \u00a0\u201cWhen you call so many games and watch this team so much, especially when they play for your school, it\u2019s hard to watch them lose two in a row.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1695\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0716.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1695\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1695\" src=\"http:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0716-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0716-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0716-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1695\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Bradley Braves broadcasting team is hard at work making sure the game is reaching maximum audiences.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>On Friday, November 17<sup>th<\/sup> the Braves fought back after a 3-1 deficit, but could only add one more goal. It was an evenly matched game where both teams fought hard. However, the Cyclones were able to keep the puck out of their net for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly Mordini, a senior at Bradley University used Friday night\u2019s game as an excuse to go to her first Bradley hockey match. \u201cIt was really cool,\u201d Mordini stated. \u201cThe Owens Center was not at all how I pictured it and I didn\u2019t expect it to be so close to campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The game on Saturday, November 18 stayed at 0-0 until 10 minutes were left in the second period where Iowa State struck first. \u00a0The Braves quickly tied with a goal from Joe Norton, giving the team some confidence going into the end of the game. \u00a0However, this was not the team\u2019s weekend and Iowa State scored yet again, ending the game with a score of 2-1.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1697\" style=\"width: 230px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0715.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1697\" class=\" wp-image-1697\" src=\"http:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0715-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1697\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">At the end of the game, Bradley trying to score and ISU trying to keep the puck out of their net.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Bradley fans were upset with two consecutive close matches that both resulted in losses, but it is noteworthy that the Braves held their own in two games against a team with a much better record than their own.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1696\" style=\"width: 196px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0714.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1696\" class=\" wp-image-1696\" src=\"http:\/\/com.bradley.edu\/newslab\/files\/2017\/11\/IMG_0714-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"186\" height=\"185\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1696\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Both teams wait for the ref&#8217;s call as they prepare for a face off.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Rachel Kendziora, a junior at Bradley attended the Saturday game with her sorority sisters, only to feel disappointed after the team\u2019s loss. \u00a0\u201cThey came so close, and we all had to go home a little sad,\u201d Kendziora said. \u00a0\u201cEven though we had fun at the game, it\u2019s never fun to see your team lose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Bradley Braves don\u2019t play again until after the Thanksgiving holidays. The boys have a break for a bit. The next games are at NIU on December 1<sup>st<\/sup> and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> where the Braves hope to up their record from its current 7-11-2. \u00a0The Huskies have a record of 5-15-0 so this might be Bradley\u2019s chance to secure a win. The Braves haven\u2019t won a game since November 1<sup>st<\/sup> against Illinois State. Things could still pick up for the Braves. The season is only halfway over and the ACHA National Tournament is not until March.
