She Kills Monsters Debuts November 8th

The theater department is in crunch time as there upcoming play She Kills Monsters is only a few weeks away. The staff and actors and actresses are gearing up for a successful two week show.  The opening night is November 8th at 7:30 PM.

This is the first of two performances that the department puts on this semester.  There are two weekends of this play. The show runs through the 18th of November.

Marty Burgeson who is in charge of the box office talks about the upcoming play, “This would be a really good show to see.  There are a lot of fight scenes, it’s a older girl and her sister dies and she she finds out that her sister was reallying into dungeons and dragons. So she goes out and starts slaying dragons.”

She Kills Monsters is a very complex play and has a lot of moving parts.  Senior Colin Trout talks about his excitement to see this play, “I am excited to see the play because I know what the department can do. I know one of my friends thats in the play his script is over ninety pages long, so i know its a lot of hard work and it will pay off for them.”

The play is fast approaching and it seems like it will be a hit on campus so it time to buy your tickets. Some may not know but there is a Box office located in the Hartmann Center.

Box Office employee Aaron Provido talks about how to get to the Hartmann Center, “To get to the Hartman Center its right next to the Student center next to the Lydia Moss Bradley statue and its the old gothic building.”

Once you get in the building the box office is in the lobby and is open Monday through Friday from noon until five in the evening. The tickets are for assigned seating so when you get to the box office you will have to pick out where you want to sit.

Tickets are very affordable.  The prices are Adult tickets are $18, Faculty and staff are $16, and students are $8. The box office accepts cash, card, check and even quick cash for students.

If you do not have time to get to the box office prior to the evening you can still see the show.  Burgeson tells you what to do if you are buying a ticket the night of, “If you are going to buy your ticket the night of you are going to see the show, try to get here at lease a half hour ahead of time because we think this will be very popular with the students.”

If you have a special request you can call or visit the box office and they can help you with that.

This is going to be a show that you are not going to want to miss you go out and get your ticket for She Kills Monsters starting on November 8th at 7:30 PM
