MAP is a program which grants money to low-income students so they can attend college. Even though the bill passed in the House and Senate, it is predicted to not make it past Governor Rauner.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley spokeswoman Renee Charles said in an interview with the Peoria Journal Star that \u201cit&#8217;s definitely critical to Bradley because more than 1,000 students here receive funding from that grant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If the MAP bill passes Illinois, students would gain access to almost $400 million to help complete their education.<\/p>\n<p>The governor has 60 days to sign the bill for it to pass.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bradley University is staying optimistic after last Thursday\u2019s Senate and House signing of the bill for the Monetary Award Program, or MAP for short.
