Bradley University and many of our families and friends have been adversely affected by the recent volatility in the financial markets and growing uncertainties in the economy. We are closely monitoring this ever-changing landscape and are prepared to respond to circumstances impacting our students' enrollment decisions.
Bradley remains one of the nation’s best educational values; U.S.News and World Report has recognized Bradley as a best value in the Midwest. Through the generosity of our alumni and friends as well as Bradley’s well-managed endowment, we remain ready to continue our commitment to providing quality educational opportunities for top-flight students, regardless of family resources. We believe that as one of the Midwest’s premier private institutions, Bradley is an exceptional investment in your future.
Bradley is committed to maintaining a tuition price that is considerably lower than comparable universities. We will continue to fund grants and scholarships to ensure access for new and existing students. That financial assistance keeps our outstanding educational experience a tremendous value for students and their families.
Nevertheless, we understand that many families are concerned that their college savings and investments will not stretch as far as planned. Let me assure you that we are making every effort to ensure that the cost of the Bradley Experience does not slip out of your financial reach.
Regardless of other constraints in the lending industry, Bradley families will have full access to educational borrowing capabilities from the federal government; we are a Direct Loan university. In addition, our financial assistance experts have worked with private lenders so most students are able to obtain funding beyond what is available from federal loan programs. Finally, our interest-free payment plan assures low-cost flexibility for college costs.
In the coming months there may be more financial uncertainty. We are prepared. Bradley is committed to remaining accessible, even to families facing financial pressures. Our Student Fees and Financial Assistance offices are available to address these challenging circumstances and will make every effort to provide the means for your family to realize the Bradley Experience. Please contact them with your questions.
Despite the nation's economic crisis, Bradley University continues to enrich the lives of our students every day with a high-quality, customized education that prepares our graduates for their future, no matter where it leads. Everyone here is committed to making Bradley a university of national distinction, with nationally ranked programs, facilities and an imaginative, active student body. Working together, your future and the future of the entire Bradley family is bright. I look forward to seeing you on our campus.
Warm regards,
Joanne K. Glasser
