Chris Kasch is a communication generalist who is interested in applied communication theory and research. He received both his B.A. and M.A. from Illinois State University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1985. His teaching focus is in the area of organizational communication, small group communication, and computer-mediated communication. 

Professor Kasch has taught fourteen different courses since coming to Bradley. Included among these are the three core courses that are required of all communication majors: COM 101 (Survey of Communication) COM 300 (Communication Theory) and COM 417 (Perspectives on Communication) Chris was also the primary architect of the concentration in organizational communication which launched in 2005.

In 1996, he was also on of the first faculty members at Bradley to develop and teach courses online including COM 491-01(Communication in Computer-mediated Advertising Environments), COM 399 (Computer-mediated Communication), and COM 491-03 - Innovation, CMC & Organizational Communication, COM 394, Virtual Teams, Communication & Collaboration  http://www.kaschassociates.com/diamond/diamondproject.htm
Professor Kasch also moderate a group on Facebook called BUKaschCommunication.

Started group on Facebook ”KaschBUcommunication. Members are Individuals who have earned degrees or who are pursuing degrees in the Department of Communication at Bradley University in Peoria, IL.  The purpose of this group is to connect persons pursing careers in communication with those alumni currently working in the communication professions and private sector.
