"It has been truly wonderful and I certainly have taken a great deal away from this experience.  I was fortunate to have an extraordinary mentor, the legendary, Harry Porterfield.  He’s a feature news writer who enlisted me as his associate producer for the program, 'Someone You Should Know.'  Mr. Porterfield’s been in the business many years and definitely someone I’m thankful to know.

Throughout my internship, I have met and worked with many reporters, anchors, editors, producers and photographers.  Everyone was extremely nice and openly offered advice when needed.  The internship helped me see how a large-market news station works efficiently and how each individual department contributes to its success."
