The Department of Communication is a lerning community committed to the study of communcation from both theoretical and applied perspectives. The Department integrates the academic study of communication with a commitment to professional education in five concentrations.

We seek to develop in our students the ability to discover, analyze and process information, think critically, engage in problem solving, and construct messages in diverse media and other communicaiton contexts.
Our work focuses on ways in which the study and evolving practice of communication prepare students for a lifelong commitement to ethical, intellectual, socially responsible, and creative professional development.
